** This position will provide janitorial and maintenance services at our various sites through out King County including Urban League Village located in the Central District of Seattle, ULMS Resource Center located in Seattle on Rainier Ave. S, and our permanent supportive housing facilities located in West Seattle and Federal Way

The Janitorial & General Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing basic fixes to multiple building systems and equipment to ensure that the facility is tidy, clean, and runs smoothly. This position performs basic upkeep tasks, including repairs, cleaning, and basic maintenance. This position takes responsibility for the daily repair and upkeep of the property and the preparation of vacant units for occupancy. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to groundskeeping, trash disposal, and general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures, etc., installation of appliances, apartment turnovers, etc.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- HS Diploma or GED required;
- 2+ years of hands-on general maintenance experience preferably in an apartment complex; trade school or industry experience is preferred
- Ability to read and write in standard English
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and set priorities
- Ability to interact with a wide variety of audiences in a professional manner
- Demonstrates cultural competency and sensitivity to the needs of adults with multiple challenges
