The Construction Trades Participant Navigator provides retention services to individuals that have been placed into an apprenticeship construction training program or employment. This position offers support services to help retain apprentices and non-union construction participants in partnership with ULMS Staff and community partners. In addition, the CTP Participant Navigator may provide relicensing services to individuals that have been placed by removing barriers to entry and utilizing support services to obtain a driver’s license as required. This role also performs case management duties that include following up with participants, participant tracking, and communications. The focus of this position is to assist in the administrative steps needed to strengthen the Construction Trades program and meet grant deliverables and requirements.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- 1+ year of direct service case management, intake or support experience
- 1+ year experience in job readiness, employment placement, recruiting, etc. experience preferred
- 1+ year of construction or trade related experience
- Proficient with MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Problem-Solver with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Experience working with re-entry and a diverse population
ULMS Total Compensation
** Most Benefits will take effect on the 1st of the month following a 60-day waiting period
- Medical - $8,741.40 per year
