 Job description
The Agency Resource Coordinator (ARC) serves as the first point of contact for applicants, whether online, by phone, or walk-in, to triage and refer applicants to internal and/or external programs and resources. By assessing intakes and speaking with potential participants, the ARC works with staff to guide applicants to internal and external support services, including but not limited to employment, food scarcity, physical and mental health, financial literacy, surviving spouse assistance, home repair, property or personal taxes, legal aid, veteran benefits, etc. The ARC will also maintain effective interagency communication and serve as a liaison for local resources to assist participants with other issues not serviced by ULMS.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • 2+ years of front office, administrative, or reception experience preferably in a client/customer-facing role
  • 1+ year of social service non-profit experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of community resources and how to access and apply for benefits including but not limited to TANF, healthcare, supplemental food services, SSDI, etc.
  • HS Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Service or related field is preferred
  • Ability to read and write in standard English
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions based upon the analysis of individual unique factors
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and set priorities
  • Ability to interact with a wide variety of audiences
  • Demonstrates cultural competency and sensitivity to the needs of adults with multiple challenges
  • Ability to work well under-pressure
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Experience in working with ethnic/minorities
  • Bi-Lingual/Multi-Lingual is a plus
ULMS Total Compensation

** Most Benefits will take effect on the 1st of the month following a 60-day waiting period

WA State Paid Family & Medical Leave – 0.8% of salary - 100% employer paid 
Workers Compensation Coverage - $395.20 - $3,591.33 per year (depending on class code) 
Taxes – 9.8% of salary
